Police call for odd-even rule during SAG opening, closing days

Nepal Police has asked the people of Kathmandu Valley to follow the odd-even rule during the opening and closing days of the 13th South Asian Games taking place in Nepal from December 1.

Speaking at a press conference organised on Thursday, IGP Sarbendra Khanal said that only odd vehicles would be allowed to ply in the valley on December 1. Similarly, he informed that only even-numbered vehicles would be allowed to ply during the closing day on December 10.

The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has also requested the citizens of Kathmandu not to drive old vehicles during the games.

On the other hand, the Member Secretary at the National Sports Council, Ramesh Silwal, informed that works on Dasarath Stadium in Tripureswor would conclude by Thursday itself.
