The ‘Nepalka Lagi Nepali’ campaign has said that it removed its leader Gyanendra Shahi from the group.

A group member Bal Krishna Neupane, also a senior advocate, says the group decided to remove him from the team as he accepted the republicanism though the campaign was established with a mission of reinstating the monarchy. “Our principles did not match.”

The group has clarified that the group will not be involved in any expression and activity of Shahi from now onwards.

Of late, the group has been advocating against corruption and recent political changes including federalism, republicanism and secularism.
