Damauli, October 31
One woman has died after getting hit by an SUV in Bimalnagar in Bandipur rural municipality in Tanahun district along the Prithvi Highway. Fifty-five-year-old Gyanumaya Baniya from Bhanu municipality of the district died after a scooter which she was on got hit by a Scorpio jeep (Ba 14 Cha 9806).
Gyanumaya’s 25-year-old son Amrit Baniya, who was riding the scooter, has been injured in the accident, informed DSP Lila Raj Lamichhane.
The jeep has been confiscated and its driver has been arrested by the police, added Lamichhane.
