Rastriya Prajatantra Party chairman Kamal Thapa has been injured while playing tennis in a tournament in Shenzhen of China. After the injury, the former deputy prime minister left the match halfway.

Thapa, a longtime tennis player, had gone to China on October 25 to participate in ITF Shenzhen International Senior Circuit 2019. He had defeated a Chinese player in his first match. He was playing with an Indian player in his second match when he got injured, according to his party’s joint general secretary Raja Ram Bartaula. Bartaula informs that Thapa had some problems in the muscles of thighs and legs.

Thapa along with his wife Pramila will return home on Thursday.
