A contractor shot dead another contractor in Dhanusha-14 on Wednesday morning following a dispute over a contract, police said.
Manoj Sah, 41, of Janakpur-1 was shot dead by Pankaj Chaudhary, 35, at around 9:30 am on Wednesday, said local police. District Police Office, Dhanusha says Sah was shot dead when he had gone to Chaudhary’s house.
Preliminary investigation showed that Sah and Chaudhary had been arguing over a construction contract. “We believe that this has to do with the construction contract. Sah had gone to Chaudary’s house to confront him when he was shot dead,” informed DSP Rameshwor Karki.
DSP Karki informed that Chaudhary has been arrested. Police confiscated a country-made pistol from Chaudhary. An investigation is underway, informed DSP Karki.
