Japanese government to help build classrooms in Dhanusha

 

Kathmandu, December 28

The Government of Japan has pledged to provide Rs 9.5 million to build classrooms for Basudev Das Rastriya Basic School at Lagma in Nagarain Municipality, Dhanusha.

Ambassador of Japan to Nepal Masamichi Saigo and Chairman of Bikash Foundation Shyam Sundar Chaudhary signed a grant contract for the construction of classrooms on Thursday.

According to a statement released by the Japanese Embassy, the project will support the construction of new classrooms for the students from class one to three. Currently, the school has 425 students from kindergarten to class six.

The Embassy of Japan hopes this project will improve the learning environment of the school and enhance the quality of education for the children of the Terai Region. The embassy also hopes the assistance will strengthen the bilateral relationship between Japan and Nepal.
