Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday held talks with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, in New York.
PM Oli, who is currently in the United States to the UN General Assembly, extended gratitude towards the UN for its support and assistance to the development of Nepal.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various aspects of cooperation between Nepal and the UN, said a statement issued by the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the UN. Issues related to peacekeeping and Nepal’s role in it were also discussed.
Guterres reiterated the UN’s commitment to continue assistance to Nepal for it to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals.
