Judiciary will work in accordance with constitution: Acting CJ Mishra

 

Kathmandu, August 24

Acting Chief Justice Om Prakash Mishra has said the judiciary needs to work in line with the constitutional provision irrespective of the system and circumstances.

During the 45th Executive Council and annual general meeting of Nepal Bar Association on Friday, Acting CJ Mishra reiterated, “Justice must prevail despite difficulty. So, jthe udiciary works as per the constitution.”

Everyone in the judiciary needs to work honestly, Acting CJ Mishra said, adding that new legal system has come into force, so it needs to be institutionally protected and effectively implemented.
He urged the legal practitioners to implement the new laws effectively. On the occasion, former Speaker Subash Nembang also pointed out the need of meticulous study of the new laws and system and due implementation.
Another former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana commented that issues of parliamentary committee should not be brought to parliamentary committee.
