Nepali Filmmakers Set To Shoot Two Feature Films In One Single Shot, Aim For Guinness World Record

An unbroken one shot scene in any film can make the entire film look spectacular. Such scenes, of course, are comparatively more difficult to shoot and not only the actors, but the entire crew need to put some extra effort to make it happen. Surprisingly, there are quite some feature films that are entirely shot in one continuous shot; the most recent one being the internationally acclaimed German film titled ‘Victoria’ that came out last year. Taking the trend to a whole new level, some Nepali filmmakers are all set to shoot not only a single feature film but its sequel too at once.

In an event held in Kathmandu on Monday, two Nepali films were announced. The film titled ‘Jaalo’ and its sequel, ‘Jaalo Returns’, have been announced to be shot in one single take. The film that will be produced by Mohit Munal and directed by ‘Birkhe Lai Chinchhas’ fame Araj Keshav will have over 50 actors including Anup Bikram Shahi, Asif Shah, Menuka Pradhan, Barsha Siwakoti, Bhanu Pratap, Prakash Shrestha, Muktaram Acharya and Bhisma Joshi in the lead roles. The films will be shot for four continuous hours in September this year.

Well, we are excited already. It’s going to be an epic project if it succeeds. It will be the first time that two full length feature films will be shot in one single shot, making it eligible for a Guinness world record. Our best wishes are with the entire team. Make it happen, guys.
