The winners of the Creative Conscience Awards for 2016 has been  announced and the Nepalese social commercial ‘Sabunman’ (Soap-Man) has bagged the award in Advertising category.

Creative Conscience, a not-for-profit organisation based in the UK, made the announcement on their official website recently. These awards are rewarded to the individuals who make a significant effort to improve the communities in which we live and work through their works. It is for the first time that the work of a Nepalese team won this prestigious award.

The commercial produced by Help Nepal Today was completed in April this year. The ad film featuring Vinay Shrestha and Menuka Pradhan talks about the importance of washing hands and how this simple regular habit can make someone a superhero. The film shot by Manas Suwal is directed by Pranab Joshi and edited by Sushil Neupane. The title song titled ‘Kina Udcha Sabunman’ is written, composed and performed by Almoda Rana Uprety.

Talking with NeoStuffs, director Joshi shared his happiness saying, “I feel honored. Our team had put in a lot of effort for this commercial and it’s good to see our work being recognized internationally.”
